A small family of three resides in this 4-Room HDB flat in Serangoon, Singapore. The husband, Kit, runs a licensed plumbing business from the work desk of the master bedroom. It generates consistent monthly revenue of above SGD40,000.
Mandy, his wife, supports his business administratively from home. While, their only son studies in a gifted school.
The only renovation was done prior to their move-in in 2001. A smaller room was combined the original master bedroom, converting the larger room into a master-cum-study.
Everything was going well until a freak sports accident threatened to change their lives.
On 7th March 2011, while playing badminton with his mates, Kit’s opponent hit the shuttlecock into his right eye. The impact caused bleeding and serious intraocular infection. At first, Kit’s doctor was optimistic that it will heal. But as days and weeks passed, the infection persisted and his doctor began to suggest that Kit may experience a possible permanent blindness in the right eye in early May 2011.
Kit went on to seek second and third medical opinions from Singapore’s top eye specialists. They gave him the same advice. And, nothing could be done as long as the infection persists.
It was the same week when Kit approached me for Feng Shui help through a client.
Feng Shui Parameters:
- Water Mouth in SW / Wei 未. The whole Yin Yang interplay of the house is balanced.
- SanHe三合: its main meridian sits on Prosperous in 12 Growth Phases exiting Wei, the Graveyard of the Wood Structure 坐旺出墓. Good readings from Stove, beds and desk.
- San Yuan 三元 / Xuan Kong 玄空: Dui 兌 / West sitting House. Kit is a Dui 兌 Gua. Their apartment block has 11 levels and their flat is on 10th floor. Both the Main Door and Bedroom’s Door are in Li 離 Gua – his Sheng Qi.
(The so-called 8 Mansion intelligence will tell you it is a Five Ghost 五鬼 door for Dui House and person. If it were so, they would have issues long time ago. Yes, the annual 2 which coincides with a natal 2 of a Dui house is at the Main Door in Li Gua. But no, it is not true that for every instance, there will be illness in the house.)
All the readings are favourable. So what is the problem?
1. The local council has been doing works in the park right across their apartment block, in their East (Zhen 震 Gua). This is also where the Tai Sui resides for Xin Mao 辛卯 year, 2011. The grass patch was removed and the soil was exposed since March.
2. The toilet in the master bedroom has its corner in line with where Kit sleeps.
I recommended that he moves his bed to the Southwest immediately. But he was reluctant. He believes that his Feng Shui must be good and he does not want to risk his business.
I compromised. At night, he moves the chair of his work desk away and sleeps on a mattress. I did not align the mattress using any techniques because it simply could not be done.
The audit was conducted on 6th May. Within a week, his doctors informed him that the infection has subsided. Life has since return to normal for the family and they just had a 2-week vacation in China. Kit may use his bed in July when the works in the park completes.

Note:
It is unwise for anyone to think Feng Shui is a cure-all remedy. Please seek medical help when in need.
The right type of Qi aids healing. That is where layout and Gua Qi permits.
In Kit’s case, it was, firstly, about bringing him away from Sha Qi activated by the soil digging and connecting linearly. Next, by locating him in SW, the toilet and bedroom doors are now of difference references to the Subject. The type of Qi he is receiving now is for healing purposes.
It takes a thorough survey work on site to discern the whole Qi map.
No Qi maps are identical- even for next-door neighbours. The landforms and buildings surrounding each unit have different perspective and their layouts vary after renovations.. The occupants are different. The locations where they use their bed, desk and stove locations are different and the DOORS will vary in perspective to the user.
Feng Shui is about HOW one uses the layout of a premise. Sometimes, there is no need to renovate. Relocating the Subject to certain Gua for receipt of specific energies is all it takes. Other times, little can be done unless the Subjects are willing to renovate.
