“Don’t believe a teaching just because you heard it from a man who is supposed to be holy; or because it is contained in a book that is supposed to be holy; or because all your friends and neighbours believe it. Whatever you observe and analyze and found to be reasonable and good, accept that and put it into practice” –Siddhartha Gautama

How wise.  May I add that we ‘put it into practice and see the results consistently’?

The problem with practices, may it be Feng Shui, Spiritualism, Charity or Political is that followers listen without thinking through it. Thinking through observations and analyses enable us to see the picture clearer. Master/leader worship strangely is one of the culprits. The greatness in a true master lies in his service to mankind. Jesus washed the feet of his disciple. Gathering from the news from the media, the role has changed over the years to greed, manipulation and fame. There is no longer any value in these titles.

The practice of Feng Shui is a genuine scientific art passed down by our forefathers through the observation of the skies and the environment we lived in. Much were lost in transition. Like the Bible, the essence will remain. Yet how many will ‘put into practice’ and verify the results with consistency?
