Is Employee selection based on Day Master?
A question was asked if the employee selection is based on Day Master.
Essentially, when we read a BaZi chart, we read the chart in its entirety i.e. we read the basic four pillars together with the Luck Pillar and Annual Pillar. The basic foundation of Zi Ping Ba Zi is to take the Day Master as the reference point and using the other 3 pillars to determine its influence to the Day Master. These basic four pillars will give us the “picture” of who the person is, the personality, the strength and weaknesses plus a few other factors of the potential candidate. This is where we will evaluate and determine the “job-fit” with the employer. We will present our analysis but the final decision comes from the employer.
Complexity of BaZi
Humans are complicated creature. We are influenced by a lot of factors coming from all angles. For example, if you are familiar with the construction of a BaZi chart, you already know that the Day Master, that is you, are influenced by your Grand-Parents, Parents, Siblings and Children, if any. This is one layer. Each one of us re-acts to a certain way when probed by external environment and this reaction is our personality, as seen by people around us, developed over the years ever since we were a child. Hence, to understand a person, we need to know what the individual is made-up of and these can be found in the four pillars of a BaZi chart.
Difference between Divination and BaZi Reading
Sometimes practitioners will use the Day Master alone together with some “Gua-pictures’” to derive an answer. This method of reading is what we call ‘Divination’ reading. If used correctly, it is fairly accurate. The only setback is that to get an answer, you need to have a question. And the method used to get the answer is only valid at that point of time. Using it again at another time will get you a different answer.
Once we have analysed the 4 pillars, we will evaluate the Luck Pillar the candidate is going through. All employers want to hire employees who can contribute to the success of the company. They want employees who are effective, efficient and productive. The Luck Pillars will give us the information. It is about timing and timing is the essence of maximising opportunities when it is right.
This page is wiki editable click here to edit this page.We always based the employee selection on Day Master in conjunction with the other pillars to derive a complete picture. The Day Master is the representation of the individual and combined with all the Pillars, it tells us the full story of the individual.

Thanks for sharing, Francis..
May I ask.. a 7K structure with protruding 7K, he/she will be successful for management role? eg; CEO/COO.
This depends on your definition of ’successful’. How successful is successful? Different people have different definition of success.
He could be successful with a small company but failed in a large company. This depends on the capacity to be found in the chart.
Is his management style suited the company’s culture and industry? This depends on the quality of his 7K.
His 7K protrudes but he is not seen to be successful. This depends if combination/transformation plays a part.
He is successful now but will he be in the next few months, years? This will depend on the Luck pillar influencing his 7K.
Will he be more successful as a CEO for a private organisation, family business, or his own business? This depends on where is his 7K.
Thus, the answer is, it depends…….
Oh, if I may just add, protruding 7k alone is not enough to determine the successfulness of a CEO/COO.
And, there are CEOs who does not have 7K structures in their charts and yet they are successful. How do you explain that?
cheers,
Francis
Hi Francis,
Thanks for the interesting article.
I like to ask ..will a strongly rooted 7k structure with hour pillar set in death stage compromise the structure?
Chris
Hi Chris,
Francis is out today on some audits. I think he would wonder which 10-God is strong rooted? DM or 7K? And, DM or 7K is in death stage?
regards,
Hi admin,
Thanks for your reply.
I wish to know for both scenario where:
DM is strongly rooted, DM in death stage of hour pillar.
7K is strongly rooted, 7k in death stage of hour pillar.
regards,
Chris
Hi Chris,
In you opinion, do you think it will compromise the structure in both scenarios?
regards,
Francis
Hi Francis,
I would then to think that 7k in death stage of the hour pillar would compromise the 7k structure, but may not be a bad thing depending on strength of DM and nature of the job.
DM in death stage of the hour pillar might not compromise the 7k structure but may not be beneficial to career per se. Again, it depends on nature of career too.
Looking forward to your feedback. Cheers!
regards,
Chris
Hi Chris,
Yes, that is precisely the point i want to bring up. We should never apply hard-and-fast rule formulae when reading a chart unless you are using divination. It all depends on the strength of DM and what is keeping the DM ‘alive’ and weakening it. Only then we can conclude if a structure is good or detrimental.
As mentioned earlier, we need to read the chart in its entirety. But, if i were to do divination reading and a chart is given as per your example, i might conclude that it is a compromised chart and the reading that follows will be different This is divination….
