The 32 Date Selection methods/systems were designed to match their sister methods/systems in Astrology and/or Feng Shui.  Example: NaYin 5 Elements 納音五行  applications in  BaZi system are often matched with San He Feng Shui and San He Date Selection.  To cross-apply these systems with Xuan Kong Da Gua, a San Yuan Date Selection system require an in depth understanding of their common denominator that connects these systems operating at different facets of the Trilogy of Heaven, Man and Earth.

A date suitable for Individual A to undergo a major surgery may be totally unsuitable and even inauspicious for Subject B.  A simple explanation is that their BaZi are different.
