Dear Kwan,

Sure.

a. Yes, it is right to use 乾亥 and 甲卯 雙山五行. And, yes too, I was differentiating between Earthly Branches and Heavenly Stems. There is a quality difference. 《玉尺經》謂水宜天干上來去，不可流破地支位。 Grandmaster Yang's classic -'Jade Ruler':"Water is best to enter & exit on Heavenly Stem and avoid entry & exit on the Earthly Branches." Check out the formula and theory on 八煞黃泉 8 Killing Force (Water). They are theories of relativity.

Will be careful next time. Thanks. :-)

b. 甲卯 is the main reference for the whole property. That is why I kinda whined about the Main Lobby. It is a pity...

c. Noted. Will see what I can do.

Not bad! For someone who says he does not understand much about these site. :P

cheers!

Dear Zoe,

Thanks for your reply. :-) You got me interested in Sanhe Fengshui since your article on the restaurant in Perth. May I ask you a few more questions? Hope you may answer them if possible.

a. Why do you use 亥 and 甲 instead of 乾亥 甲卯 double mountains? Is it to be specific of the Earthly Branches and the Heavenly Stems?

b. Which Water Mouth is the main reference? Or both are as important?

c. I have sent you a mail to admin @ 13voices.com. Please take a look and see if you can provide me some guidance. I understand that you are busy, please take your time. Many many many thanks!

With best regards,
Kwan

Dear Kwan,

The effect is immediate... that is why there are still pockets of imbalance Qi from the East end to the center. You can see it if you stand in the casino and observe for some time. How the punters move and where the crowd gathers. :-)

Next year will be a trying year if nothing is done.

cheers!

Hi 李傑,

Yes, I agree the mountain itself, external (macro) mingtang, has a steeper than desired gradient. But the site's outer mingtang i.e. the carpark is of a right size. So the effect is minimal. What do you think? :-)

Yes, I know the story of the statue. Shhhh.... :P

Dear Zoe,

Thank you! I have been enjoying your last 2 articles on real sites. Seldom we see articles which do not touch on flying stars. But I must say I can hardly understand for my lack of depth! :P

One question on the mian lobby. How in long term will it affect Venetian if nothing is done? Or it doesn't?

Regards,
Kwan

Hi Robert,

I am not a master. :-) Just a practitioner. Am back in Macau. Went to HK for 2 days and now back to get some work done & to catch the Cirque du Soleil show. :-) Lost my USB cable. Will post more photos when back in Spore.

cheers!

Zoe, thanks for your response which I would agree. Venetian has a bigger draw depite tis main lobby having smaller crowd. I guess fengshui masters like you will have remedies for the Sands group. When were you there? I am there almost every weekend. :P

Hi Robert,

Yes, if you check the model photo (see above post), these casinos were not there. Judging from the quality of work on the West Lobby and the internal layout, the tendency of the practitioner making such mistake if he had knew about these other new casinos would be very slim. There may be many behind-the-scene reasons.

cheers!

dear Siwi,

I will get my assistant to contact you on my Jakarta schedule. Thanks.

On measure of sitting, it is really about perspective. If I am measuring the entrance's Feng Shui then it is from the entrance. Whereas, if I am looking into the whole property, then it has to be the back of the property, where possible. Also, not all properties are perfectly angled. I would not say that measuring the Entrance is good enough. But it does have the strongest influence because it is after all the Qi MOUTH.

cheers!

Hi Kwan,

Been busy. Your comments and several others have been sitting on the Dashboard for some time. Sorry about that.

Yes, that was what I meant. It is a about a longer, therefore, more sentimental receipt = better quality receipt of Qi.

cheers!

Hi Zoe,

Do the Hard Rock and City of Dreams opp the Main Lobby have anything to do with the lower quality fengshui of this entrance? I am a regular there. These casinos are from the competition group.

thanks,

Zoe,

Thanks for the post. do you think the front drops to fast at the mingtang? Also, did you see the statue in the East Wing? :-) What you think about the Feng shui story behind it? Wrote you through 13 Voices email. Thks.

By the way, I am from Taiwan and a PR in Singapore as a fengshui practitioner too. 13 yrs in this business. Can feel your passion in sharing fengshui. Hope to meet you soon as you find time to discuss my research case.

你對學理的熱忱和治學態度我在珞璐的命理界已有聽聞。希望有機會能切磋交流。

Did you measure the sitting from the entrance or from the back of the temple? I have been studying this article and am lost. But I would very much like to learn from you especially after I heard from Arthur his experience with you. :-) Please visit Jakarta soon.

Hi Zoe,

When you mean the entrance should be opened on right, you meant it from the temple looking out? Is it because the Qi flows from right to left as mentioned?

Thank you!

Hi Zoe,

Thanks for the explanation.

All those parameters only apply to Earth Qi, right?

How about the movement of Tian Qi? Also governed by the landform?

Also Ren Qi? Is it right to define Ren Qi is the Qi on the human body governed by our organ? If not what governed the movement of Human Qi?

The last, perhaps this is a strange question, pretending the Qi is visible, how will it look like? A single object like a ball that move spiral upward or more like a hurricane consist of lot of particle?

Regards'

Hi Rendy,

When Qi converges at the Water Mouth, it will peak (if the Water Mouth is locked), then it circulates and lingers before continuing on its journey along the waterway.

After the Mountain Dargon travels for miles and miles and drop veins before flattening out to a prosperous piece of land with good Watermouth, embraces and support mountains etc, the LAND is then being selected for the spot to contain a tomb or a property.

A Xue is a locked containment (can be +ve or -ve), not just a needle point.

Many mistaken that Xue is a needle point. Yes, in a prosperous plot, there will be tell-tale signs of patterns / colours of soil. That is Nature's way of telling us by sight that there is a suitable direction and location on this land where good Feng Shui is possible to attain.

The technique of locating Xue is termed Tian Xin Shi Dao 天心十道. That is to locate the first the Bright Hall (external & internal), best entrance/s, in-coming / out-going Qi, sitting of the dead / living, Stove, etc.

Once, all these are established, we have Xue/s - regardless of these being 'Fengshui-ed' or not.

Selection and Planning is very important for good Feng Shui.

cheers!

Dear Zoe,

Want to know more on landform basic term, about xue, water mouth, and dragon, especially about their role on Qi perspective / what happen to Qi...Would you please write more on this?

Ex:
Incoming dragon is the place where Qi turns, means before it reach that, it moves not in spiral? What do you mean by turn?
[BTW, in flat land Urban area, incoming dragon is still important? it can not be seen as in the rural area... ]

When reach water mouth, what happen to the Qi, will it disperse?

What is a Xue? What happen to the Qi when Xue being established?

Thanks.

Thanks Chong Seen & Siwi. :-)

It is quite tough to write for a broad audience. We have many laypersons as well as serious students/ practitioners coming to this space. For now, our posts are more consumer based and for beginners.

There are some guest writers' contributions which will be released later in the year. Siwi, they include Bazi. :-) Regardless of delays or hurdles, we will continue to educate and share on as neutral basis as possible.

cheers!

Zoe, Kenny said you will visit Manila soon. Please let me know when as I would like to organise something for your company. A group of us have been learning fengshui some time and would be interested to learn and engage your services. Some like to be enlightened on Bazi as well.

Pls write more on bazi. Your past articles were very helpful. :-)

Dear Zoe,

Many years ago I took a Feng Shui course on flying stars. The results was I locked up the center of my shop in Kallang Bahru. The business went down and I had to close it within 9 months. Thanks for giving us the insights. I find 13 voices refreshing.

Dear Zoe,

I have 2 questions hope you do not mind answering:
a. San He Yin Wood strucutre. So it means the river is flowing from right to left in front of the house?
b San Yuan. The way you use the hex is most interesting. I spent a lot of money with 2 masters to learn XK Da Gua but they are using internally hexagram :-(. Now I am confused. Saw your comments in FB that the external hex is for receiving qi. It makes sense to me but am still confused....

Thank you very much. Truly enjoy all your posts in your journal and FB. I learnt so much.

Hi Stephanie,

As written, it was there since 2007. A Sha is always a Sha. A pylon is a Sha. We cannot totally eliminate Sha in urban settings. There are ways to avoid such as blocking it from sight - a remedy easy enough for laypersons. For practitioners, we need to make sure the alignment of his bed was not 'connected' to the pylon.

I would say it is synchronized occurrence, which could have been avoided if general public are more in tune to Feng Shui Sha.

cheers!
Zoe :-)

Hi Zoe,

Was the pylon a sha from the time it was built, or just now because of the Tai Sui? Would you interpret the lightning strike as a coincidence or would a pylon somehow attract a lightning strike?

Thank you to you and the daughter of the family for sharing this. My best wishes for a speedy recovery for the father.

Mike,

I am really enjoying your posts. I have a question about the use of the word "sentimental" as you use it in the second paragraph of this post. I have noticed other authors use it on 13 voices as well, but again I don't understand how it is meant in this context. I thought it meant being excessively emotional or "mushy". Can you help me understand?

Thank you!

Dear Stephanie,

Sherlock Holmes is brilliant, i am not. But isn't what he say a truth in itself? :)

There will be a time where all of us start to wonder the purpose of our existence and seek the truth via going back to the fundamentals and mother nature.

I guess that is when we will find true contentment.

The ground floor main entrance is on the west sector.

You may be interested to note that the ground floor is not the only way to tap energy. In San Yuan("三元") Feng Shui, every openings/entrance/exit/balcony can be used.

Hope this helps :)

Another reason why doors are so important is because they serve to absorb Qi from our external environment.

However, theory has it that water serves to barricade Qi. it is worth pondering why this new ninja-themed restaurant in Taipei is doing well.

"A moat and screen of cascading water just past the front entrance make customers wait a few minutes until the drawbridge goes up, leading to a dark stairwell toward the dining hall."

Dear Kenneth,

Yes, we relate to the experience of your Master. I am glad that you have a Master whose capability of showing results is consistent. More importantly, that we are liked-minded towards practitioner-client relationship. 以人為本

A few months ago, a Shanghai subject, Bing, asked us about the chance of her parents who were both down with Lung cancer. Vin did something out of character – he told her that they would pass on before Coming of Spring. Her parents resisted Feng Shui so we could not help to relief their physical pain. All we could do was to prepare her emotionally so that she could treasure the little time left with her parents. We share her pain when her mom passed on in December 09 and her dad 4 hours before Geng Yin year starts.

This event reminds us that even if one’s BaZi proficiency is great and could predict death accurately, that is still not real help when we couldn’t apply Feng Shui for the subjects in the most effective, humane, and unbiased manner.

Those who practice the art & science in a consistent manner need to consider practicing it in a traceable and accountable manner before the pseudo practitioners dilute the public confidence further.

Thus, I see the issues of your Masters as a happy problem borne out of being consistent in his work. Just to share - business wise, our core focus is on urban planning & corporations/ businesses for 3 reasons:-
1. The results benefit tens, hundreds, thousands of employees. Infrastructures affect millions.
2. Feng Shui is getting 'legitimate' in business spending. Some do have a ‘budget’ for Feng Shui.
3. Business people are direct, and results oriented. They don't waste our time to 'test' us. We only need to show results.

There are always going to be petty personalities. If the intent of the client is to cheat (which really happened only once for us), we will drop the project immediately and are unlikely to demand for payment.

Running a Feng Shui consultancy isn't like any other business to us. While, we are not running a charity, karma has a play. We are only messengers and executors in improving their situations. Sometimes for a fee, other times free when we serve charities. Regardless, it is their own destiny they are cheating in the end when honesty & sincerity is missing.

As for the practitioners, this is what I opine:

As you would know, getting to a level where one can advertise tangible results is not only by hard work. There are many very hardworking researchers and learners searching for consistency for years, and, some decades. When I look back at the events that led me to where I am (i.e. the little proficiency I posses today), it is not by chance but by sincerity.

Not mine. Rather, it is the sincerity & the teachings of my mentors, esp. Vin that opened my eyes and heart to what Yin-Yang 5 elements is all about. I might have paid lots for many courses and books. I might be assault by those who resist my humble path. In the end, true knowledge was given free to me. Karma has a part to play. We must treasure and spread this goodness of Feng Shui science when we can.

In cases where the party involved is insincere, we should walk away and keep our time / services for the next person / subject in genuine need. (The same applies to the learners and practitioners who knock at our doors.)

And, it is for the NEXT person who needs the services of your Master that I am imploring you to please try to convince your Master again.

As for the ups & downs of direct Reviews (incl. being pressured by subjects who can’t wait to see results) - please share with your Master that it is a path of Humility. Whether it is direct or indirect Reviews, we all experience stress from our subjects who cannot wait to see results Hence, why not just embrace it as part of the package? ☺

We live in 21st century where the environment is polluted and humanity is deteriorating more than ever. We must apply ourselves and adapt this science in traceable and accountable manners for the consumers to benefit.

Kenneth, we should have that coffee soon. I sincerely wish you success in convincing your Master to spread good Feng Shui! Happy Geng Yin year!

Best,
Zoe
